Living off the hill

One of my favorite things to grow is succulents but with the harsh winters we experienced in Wynola, I completely gave up on them. Well I am happy to say that I am back at it with these forgiving, interesting and hardy plants.  It doesn't take them long to settle in and expand in the proper environment.  I found a great  spot to purchase succulents of all kinds. I also reached out to a few folks that I knew who had some interesting specimens and they generously gave me cuttings to help start my new adventure.

Succulents come in all shapes, sizes, textures and colors. They don't need much if any soil and can be nestled together to add interest to any garden. Their low water requirements make them the perfect plant for today's water woes in California. They are happy indoors with proper light as well as outdoors.  Some varieties flower beautifully and the variations in their foliage is unmatched in any other plant species. Succulents can be used to make beautiful and artistic decorations and are only limited by the creators imagination. If you can imagine it, the succulent will conform to your will. Practically anything can be used as a vessel for succulents. The possibilities are endless.
